What They're Saying

ReconsiDer is a grassroots not-for-profit membership organization that was incorporated in New York State by concerned citizens to provide a forum for discussing alternatives to one of America’s greatest public policy failures—the war on drugs. Our tax-exempt mission is to educate the public about drugs and drug policies, including the problems caused by using criminal sanctions to regulate the distribution of drugs and alternatives to the use of criminal sanctions as regulatory policy instruments that are being employed by other democratic nations around the globe.

You are invited to learn more about us by clicking on the buttons on the left. Here you can read our history, meet our Board of Directors, our Advisory Board, read some press clips about us, even see photos of ReconsiDer members and events.

You can also find out what you can do, as a ReconsiDer member, to help end the drug war, and just how you can do it effectively. And last, but not least, there's a section that tells you some of the things people have said about ReconsiDer over the years. It'll make you proud.

"We are a democratic, non-violent guerrilla insurgency.  The other side has one thousand times what we have in terms of money and force.  We have one thousand times what they have in terms of science, health, decency, heart, and brains."
-- Ethan Nadelmann
